Discussion about
Goldman: The move follows the recent upgrade of Bank of America [BAC 11.35 -0.14 (-1.22%) ] to "conviction buy," alongside JPMorgan Chase [JPM 34.49 -0.06 (-0.17%) ], and takes into account "the prospect for continued strong mortgage and capital markets earnings which is likely to persist in the second quarter," the analysts wrote.
Besides, "the leveraged loss cycle for large banks may be over," they wrote, noting that the stress tests induced $100 billion of capital raised at big banks, cutting leverage. Writedowns may also be nearing an end as stock market indices are improving.

steveF... does F stand for f in the head? Dude you gotta lay off the equity viagra... it causes blue haze eyesight and ultimately permanent flaccidity.
Put yourself in Goldman's ("partners") shoes.. what is your biggest fear... that the gravy train that is GS will disappear b/c the Comm RE / Comm Loans/ 2nd Leg of Consumer Loans all failing at once will put you right back in 10-08'... so what do you do... you dilute yourself and raise funds for the WAR that is coming... let me tell you as a business owner... the LAST LAST LAST thing that I ever ever ever want to do is DILUTE myself until I absolutely have to... so suck on that for awhile....

no it stands for FU..I don't know West but for a business owner you spend alot of time on SE.MY properties take care of themselves(no stress) but a business owner?? you need to be focused on your business not here. Anyhow, why not dilute if the money is good? Why go public at all? b/c the money is good.

steveF... I need to get an F in my handle then....
Dude... I am in commercial RE... LT leases.... put out mini fires... but sitting VERY pretty right now.... w/o AAA tenants... I'd be shitting in my pants more than my 2yo. Let's just say I am waiting for the 2nd coming of the Commercial RE opportunity of MY lifetime that is coming and getting my WAR gear together... this time I'll have both the experience/smarts/$ to take HUGE advantage of the overleveraged LEMMINGS.. .can't wait and I get to spend a ton of time w/ my little children... you know the Chinese say the first 3 yrs are the most important and they mourn the death of their parents for 3 yrs....
The NAME of the game when the bubble stops is Cash flow and coin in the bank....
ever hear of multiple arbitrage? If the equity market is paying 14x earnings and private transactions are being done at 10x... you roll up the industry and go public... if this trend reverses...... GS will go private again :) Trust me... bankers never EVER EVER give shit away...
SERIOUSLY does anyone think this rally has legs or 500pt swings are gone forever? ?? LMAS......
