yes this rally is getting wobbly. the market bounced off of support at the close but if we get a close under yesterday's low we may go down hard next week. will i short here? no. not before a 3 day weekend. besides too many people are expecting/hoping market will fall which means it most likely won't. some great shorts today-UPS, T, COP and one great long-TYP which is an etf triple short technology stocks. covered/sold all into the close. Sears(SHLD) had great earnings after the bell and the stock is up big after hours. i expect the market may rally at the open and i would look to fade the rally as a day trade.

that said i do think the market will eventually follow the economic mess and test the march lows. when? i have no idea but i am studying the charts daily. just to blindly short here is foolish. economists and pundits are often right in their market diagnosis and prognosis but clueless as to timing.

the TAists fascinate me. i truly think that if you, on a long term basis, attach yourselves to a site that has great wave, chart, etc. theorists you can do quite well. although in this very market a bit of independent thinking might have been welcome. cfranch, yes. sears's silly earnings were enough to goose temporarily. it was hilarious that at 4:25ish msn still had up that the rally had survived some negatives, they had updated the info at 3:42. Weekend holiday.

In addition to being short bonds, you should hold commodity currencies like AUD, NZD, ZAR and BRL
