Great looking online- totally cheap for this street and neighborhood. Anyone know what the "catch" is? Very odd, no?

It's on Corcoran, GG. NYbondgirl: ask the folks on brownstoner.com to discuss. I'm sure they can give you all the details and more. Beautiful block - though I prefer Washington Pk facing the park.

I wonder if the catch is one that bit me in the ass a while back: there was a brownstone on South Portland (pretty sure it was anyway - ?37? ?39?) which was being foreclosed on with a very low lien. So on his way home at night, one of my partners drives by and looks at it and it looks pretty decent. So we buy it at the foreclosure auction. But when we go by during the day, it turns out there's no building: just the facade. The building got demo'ed and there had been some neighborhood opposition, etc. so there was some court order to maintain the facade so it was still there being propped up by various shorings, etc.
