Discussion about
Did you know in Bx Sc. and Stuy... the top 60 students get to enroll in an AP Bio class... so think about it.... all these smart kids that tested into these schools... and even in that meritocracy... there is another level of smartz. FYI I believe the average SAT in these schoolz is higher than most "private" schools in NYC... no ericho75... go find another thread... this is only for the cool kids....

I never took AP classes. I didn't want to be a nerd. Instead I loaded up on art classes.

Is streeteasy about picking fights?
aboutready is just about the most unladylike woman I could have imagined
and w67th, seriously, don't you think the high school definition of cool kind of gets old by college and the definitely 25 years later? Do you still brag about going "commando" to your wife and you now even tell your kids?

klonipin, aboutready is, in case you don't know, one of SE MVP (Most Valuable Posters) and she is a sharp lady indeed. Don't now what is your standard, though...she is not your typical 50's housewife, if that's what you mean. If she have lived in the 50's she was most likely reading poetry in the west village with Allen Ginsberg and the beatniks.
New posters seems to be appalled by w67th sense of humor. I guess that If I was new in SE and I read today's posts, I will be scratching my head.....It's a question of time and frame. I've already read what they post day by day for months...courtesy of my addictive nature. So I've been exposed to their wit, their thinking out of the boxes, their interesting critical vision of the current events.

ericho70... I told this thread for cool kids only.....

klondike.... you too are banished from this thread... start your own thread with ericho69....

yo mchale! Long time... between you and I, LIC is cool... just not ericho68's nabe... if you see him walking around with a bottle of ExtendZe softdrink.... smack him in the head for me...

mimi... you're making me blush :)

AR... I pity the fool who picks a fight w/ me lady. Yep... I love the Ko Olina beach, but the "locals" think it's a second rate beach.... BTW they've got a really nice Marina there... I've seen some "what recession" boats there :)

it is second rate, which is why i love it, there are no waves and i'm a wuss. and there are few places more beautiful in the morning as the sun rises before anyone else has shown up. there's a beach on the eastern shore that i like even more, total wuss beach but no people, just park and roll out onto the sand, but i can't remember the name. the family likes Waimea, and Waikiki, and one on the Western shore, almost to the end of the road, with great boarding. too fierce for me, but great local scene.

maybe if i'm really good and i curb the profanity i can come back in the next life as the owner of a "what recession" boat complete with a Ko Olina three bedroom. maybe if i increase the profanity it will be so. guess i'll just do what comes naturally, i do so love a good anglo-saxon expletive.

Oh, makes sense. If someone is a jerk, lowlife, lout, scumbag, etc. just once then that is no good. If they are consistently a jerk, lowlife, lout, scumbag, etc, and they know it and use a smiley face, then it is ok. Enjoy the day.

You are consistently mediocre. You are giving us a reference, and we will know in the future, what to expect, etc. The same with them. They have consistently gave us either very valuable info (which you are not) or amuse us (which you are definitely not.)

I think I recently heard that AP classes are now more or less mandatory (and presumably there are way more seats for them), and that the SATs now have specialized sections to test those subject areas. But perhaps I wasn't paying attention ... I don't have childrens.

alanhart, there have long been specialized SAT sections, but they serve a different purpose, or at least they did back in the day.

my daughter's school doesn't have any AP classes.

As for AP's, by the time the AP test rolled around I was so deep into the senior slump, i barely hit 3's on the tests...

small difference in the i and the o, but if you just remove the chlorine atom from Klonopin, you'll have nitrazepam which has some similar properties but is largely limited in use (or prohibited) because of side effects.

upperwestrenter, distinguish between:

*Klonopin is a prescription pill that klonipin takes to get him through the day. An evil psychopharmacologist/script-writing-machine spent 90 seconds evaluating him first.

*klonipin is a pill
