Sorry, but Real estate prices in NYC should continue to be soft, but I'm not expecting it to crash like many here.

i have an entry up on the world coming to an end thread that discusses wages and income and the construction reports. ism showed some real improvement, but is still showing contraction, and may just have improved because those shelves got so bare they needed to be restocked.

and, marco is correct. RE prices will tank regardless.

ericho... r u of russian/jewish background from little Odessa? That's the last piece of the puzzle for me..... (no need to answer, but I'm just trying to get a mental picture) :)

10K data points today.... but yes you picked the most important one.... how about GM? R we pricing our toxic assets yet? Geitner didn't just go to our Bankers and say please, just a little more time? kat isn't in the midst of divorce with Jon? Data data everywhere.. but not a single one to mix with NYC RE Kool aid.....

When the national housing market crashed, but NYC had not, we had bulls telling us "Manhattan is different".

Now Manhattan has crashsed, and the national market is still tanking, yet slower.
And suddenly Manhattan is part of America again.

When are they welcoming us back...?
