I liked OZ moving. Used them twice. They were professional, prompt, careful and polite. As I recall, competitively priced as well

I used flatrate but had one issue where the movers tried to charge me more than the negotiated price, claimed that I had more stuff than the estimate...which was nonsense. After I stood my ground they were fine. Showed up on time, finished the job, nothing broke.

So if you go with any mover that guarantees a flat rate (as opposed to one that guarantees 'not to exceed') just be on your guard. And make sure you get everything in writing and don't rely on an estmiate over the phone or internet.

Agree with #6. Flatrate is good, but be sure to ask that they do an actual walkthrough of your place, which they offer for free. They're better able to estimate that way you'll get a specific, flat rate (like the name implies!)

I used these guys: http://www.integritymoversinc.com/

Not the cheapest, but were extremely fast and efficient for a job that went from Murray Hill to Storage to Tribeca for a 2BR. Started at 9AM and was done before 3PM

One rate moving is a medium sized company, they seem to care about retaining long term clients...

Divine or OZ would be your best option, I don't know about the rest, (I'm a broker - based on what I hear from my clients)

I've used Hannibal moving for my last three moves. The first two were within Manhattan and the last one was to central new york about 200 miles away. They were great all three times. Honest guys that worked hard and are dependable. Handled everything with professional care and worked efficiently. They charged a VERY fair price too! My moves ranged from an average amount of stuff to a lot of stuff. Here's their phone number: Frank Hannibal at 212-387-2083
