Discussion about
Does anyone know when does the sales figure get updated on the ACRIS site? I noticed it's still only showing data up to the end of April, which is more than a month since last updated.

Sellers' attorneys have to provide the paperwork to the city within 30 days and then details have to be entered in the system. I can see that process taking 45 days.

Thanks!
I'll keep an eye on next month's rolling sales number. A number of unit's i've been watching went into contracts the last 2 weeks. I wonder how much they paid.

It depends on how much of a backup there is in the City's Recorder's office. I remember a time not too long ago when they were almost 6 months behind. Although, these days with so many fewer transactions I'm sure the time is much shorter (also, it varies by borough because the offices are all by borough). But here's a real good idea on how to get a very good idea of how long it's taking: take a look at any recent Coop closing on ACRIS. Under the "DET" button, o will see 2 fields: "transaction date" and "recording date". Guess what the difference represents?
