Often, property shark lists the purchase history as well. I think they get the info from Acris too.

NY Times has them free from about 2006.

SE and others show co-op and condo prices as far back as ACRIS has them: 2003/2004.

For earlier condo prices, pull up the deed in ACRIS and find the NYS RE Tax amount. That's .4% (and has been at least as far back as the early '90s) so you can calculate the price from that.
