Discussion about
Based on what the co-op market is revealing across New York City, I would suggest that for the most space, lowest investment and the likelihood of a substantial return on your investment, check out Grand Concourse cooperatives

Yes, my 1 bedroom unit offering nearly 1,000 square feet of space, doorman and underground parking is valued at $160,000, and that's nearly triple what it was valued at three years ago.

Your comment about being mugged is just plain false. I've lived up here for 24 years and don't know anyone who was ever mugged. It also explains why people are so damn foolish to invest one million dollars for an apartment that is no bigger than my walkin master bedroom closet. Just think, the more people are afraid to leave Manhattan, the more they are willing to be exploited.

#3 Nice try race bating.... my comment was not rascist at all...... go to the local precinct ask for the crime stats and then tell the police they are rascist for providing you with the numbers. If the OP mentioned some town in Bumfuck Tennessee or some high crime backwater in West Virgina, I would ask them they same thing.

Why direct crime questions at one individual, even if he lived in a neighborhood for years, when you can get neighborhood-by-neighborhood crime statistics at nytimes.com/realestate . . . and streeteasy, it would be nice if you could provide the same content in some form, like a clickable borough/nabe map for example, or a table for each borough.

Why don't you just answer my question #8? Is Grand Concourse is NYC? Seriously, I have no idea.

How come Manhattan dwellers can make gazillions of dollars but they cannot read a map #10?

#10, Grand Concourse is a very wide boulevard in the west Bronx (which is part of NYC), with the B/D train running up it. It passes through many different neighborhoods, and has mostly art-deco buildings.

I don't think comment #3 is racist, but it's phrased in a useless manner.

I don't ride the subway, hence, I don't read a subway map. By the way, #16, I wouldn't want to date your fat daughter anyway. She's probably the ugliest retard alive. Also, I don't remember saying anything about your daughter in previous posts so shut the hell up.

I think once again, everything old is new again and The Bronx will come back. NY is a City where people venture everywhere to get "in" on the newest and latest deals. I think the COncurse was once beautiful and it will be again. The buildings there now are already interesting and have style and class, if we truly want to be a world class city then every part of it has to be liveabl and special. Also you'll be close to the YANKEES...
