If they had the balls, at that number they could do a low end renovation to residential and sell HUGE lofts for like $600 a foot and still make a decent profit. I wonder if by the time they finished if that would still be seen as enough of a bargain to undercut everyone else in FiDi.

30yrs, interesting that we don't have an automatic answer to that question. $600psf seems cheap now, but historically for distressed (or even not) properties, not so much.

shall be worth watching. where are the AIG people going? (ok, enough with the jokes). or are they renting back? class a midtown sublets are down to around $50-60psf. what a collapse, with more to follow.
