NYC will recover by 2013. Which is not its already turned around, or what alpine says.

"by the end of the year, the economy is expected to be adding jobs." by what measure? only 20% of this year's grads are currently employed. are they referring to jobs in absolute terms, such as now the number of employed people exceeds last month's number, or the unemployed number is less, but not accounting for increased population and forced retirements before economically feasible?

that's my problem with this 2013 forecast. after the 2001 recession it took years to get back to the prior levels of employment, with one of the biggest bubble machines of all time. how do we expect to get back to our top levels in only 4 or 5 years when this has been so much worse? unless, of course, we delay the pain further with another bubble.

I read the article, but I am not a fan of "experts" that I have never heard of. I prefer the big names like Krugman, Roubini, etc.
