Anybody know anything about this area or these buildings in particular?
looking2return, if you Search Discussions you'll find a few threads here with a lot of information on Seward Park and the surrounding area.
At the moment, I think the biggest issues are the ones the board is dealing with in trying to manage the co-op's deficit and balance the wants/needs of very different kinds of owners with disparate finances. Check the following links:

What type of info are you looking for?
I was looking for stuff like tenemental pointed out (thanks!) and also neighborhood info. Does it feel safe at night? Shopping nearby?
Prices/maintenance seem to be on the low side and I'm trying to figure out why.
I am looking to rent a 1 bedroom within Seward Park. Love the area and currently live around block. Is there any way to know about sublets coming available on a community board or Seward Park internal listing database?
Google Jeremy Bolger. He specializes in selling and renting those dumps. Be prepared to meet the rudest agent ever. No eye contact and always texting, even while trying to conduct a conversation. No wonder he deals in bottom of the barrel stock.
I live in this building. I can tell you it is a very safe neighborhood. It is close to all the downtown centers: Village, East Village, Soho, etc. yet it is quiet and has the feel of a neighborhood. This coop has possibly the lowest maintenance in Manhattan. The monthly charges will probably rise in the coming years but since the coop own the retails store all around it and another commercial building to the east of it, the monthly cost will still be low for years to come.
