Discussion about
On the StreetEasy homepage, there are a sections for: "Featured Listings", "New Developments", and "Recent Recorded Sales" Among others, but no section for Rental Listings. To find rental listings, one has to know to click on the rentals tab at the top of the page and then go down to find listings. I for one, had been using SE for years before I even realized there was a rental side. It would also help if the search function on the top left of the homepage had a button for "search rentals" next to the existing one which says "search sales". -SE would get more landlords to list with them -People looking for apartments to rent will be able to more easily navigate -LLs with apartmetns to rent will get move page views.

The big commissions come from sales not rentals.

I doubt the economics are strong enough to justify featuring rentals.

As landlord reps, we have brought up the same point. Please feel free to visit www.rosenyc.com to view available rental listings, photos and floorplans at great doorman buildings throughout the city.

Topper, SE does not make $ on commissions, they make it on ad sales ($50 each for owners). They would sell a hell of a lot more ads if the listings were more visible...
