I can't recall which Hanover Sq. building it was, but I remember a lovely 2/2 listed for $500k in 1999 or 2000.
The sale is remarkable because it's for 45% of the OLP, but the place is nowhere near 850 sqft, it's more like 550. The loft is listed at 20x13 but that's a joke. Still, it's not uninteresting. The sole idea that at some point in time, somewhere, someone thought there would be a sucker paying 750K for it makes my head spin.
Fascinating. Not a bad space, although the pictures seem to be of two different apartments? Can you stand up in the loft?
That price history is a snapshot of the housing bubble. Or would be, if we had the seller's original purchase price to compare with.
check out the number of windows in the photo and the number in the floor plan, something fishy going on.
I agree Tromp.
The loft space is equivalent to the sum of the kitchen area, dining area and bathroom which yields in total just over 500sf assuming a 5X6 bathroom. Add about 30sf for irregular space probably not included in dining room dimensions and you get your 550.
Re: 860 square feet. There's a difference between exaggerating and lying. Calling this studio 860 Sq. ft. is lying. I've never seen such an outrageous case.
