HELP- Need month-month rental while doing construction

Discussion about
Closing on old place soon and will need to rent month to month until new place is done. Likely, from August-October. Anyone know of any suggestions, maybe buildings doing month-month due to distressed market. Would like to be in UES or Village, 2 BR, pet friendly, under 4k/month. Listings we've seen on craigslist arent so hot and upper echelon buildings w/housekeepers, etc. seem a bit out of price range.. Thanks for any insight...
