Discussion about
if you guys visited some open house, let's share and discuss? like what's new? what's hot? where you found large price cut? any strange experience? thanks to all!
There seem to be a lot of buyers visiting apartment in the city. However, I am not sure if they are actually buying but based on the number of in contract that I see from this website. I would assume so. I saw the 9C at 150 west 87th two weeks ago and it is off the market. I am curious where it traded, since it wasn't renovated. They opened 7C last week and that was off market by this weekend. Truthfully, I dont quite understand where is all this interest coming from. I still think the REs in NYC are very expensive.
i saw 150 west 87th this weekend and there were 3 other couples looking when i was there.
we hated the building. we looked at the 3 bedrooms, which were reasonably priced, but bedrooms were tiny and every window basically faced a brick wall.
the building has more of a security guard than a doorman.
we were at 150 w 87 also. did not like the a / b lines. we snuck into the 7c unit. my wife and i thought it was really nice. expansive living / dining room space - i like the connected feel, as opposed to 2 separate rooms. decent size bedrooms, and generally good flow on the layout. the big negative for us? no master bathroom. the two big bedrooms share a bathroom. fine now while our son is 1.5 years old, but a non-starter for when he's a couple years older.
oh yeah, the A line, which i think is the 3 bedroom you probably saw is terrible. it's the same as teh B line (sold as a 2 br), but the living / dining room is segmented off into a 3rd bedroom.
carl, that's correct. the A line is what i saw.
we did not look at 7c because i believe the sheet they gave us said that it was in contract.
