what is the sq. footage?
Click on the web site. The main space seems quite small. I wasn't aware that rents were so high in that area. I have friends who moved into an alcove studio on the UWS & are paying much less than that.
It is not that small. You can fit two queen-size mattresses with a small 2-drawer cabinet in between. There's about 6ft x 12ft of space available if 2 queen size mattresses are placed in.
I've sold most of my stuff anticipating a move. I used to have a loveseat, queen-size mattress, two tables, an entertainment center, and two file cabinets all fit into the apt. It still had lots of open space. A plus is the walk-in closet and a separate hallway closet. The kitchen is larger than most studios in the city. The floorplan is on my webpage.
call me at 917-546-6778 if you have any questions or if you want to stop by to take a look.
I understand you don't want to post the address but what are the major cross streets, for reference ie. 10th & 43th.
#3 did your friends use a specific realtor. I'm looking to rent an alcove studio. thanks
Who would pay 2650 to live in a tiny box?
I just saw the sq footage of your apartment. It is the smallest studio I have ever seen. Most studios are 20X13 plus a kitchen, foyer, etc. Your studio is a mini studio.
I *think* the price is too high for a studio, as a point of reference I am renting the following:
- 2,100 dollars a month. market rate, started renting it last year
- no broker, did my own footwork
- 1 br 550sqft, 4th flr brownstone walk up
- windows in every room, skyline views
- 9ft ceilings
- midtown east
- no doorman
I'm #3. I think they found it thru a friend, I don't know, but I'm not in regular contact with them. They're on West End Avenue not too far from Lincoln Center.
Oh, #9, good job! The place sounds great. Good for you. Congrats. Midtown East is my 'hood!!
John, you're NUTS if you think anyone will pay that much for such a small space. Search NYT listings, and you'll find that you're way over-priced for a STUDIO.
I would never buy/rent a 4th floor walkup
John, Your studio is about 400 sqft, at 1000 sq/ft for a dev condo, the price of your studio at the most generous would be 400,000 dollars.
With 10% down, monthly would be 2,200 + 800 dollars maintaince/tax.
I would guess you arrived at the amount $2650 to cover you mortgage huh. You're going to have to deal with a large negative cash flow if you really want to rent this junior studio.
2100 4th floor for a walkup with no amenities is expensive! you can get it for $1500
to #15, $1,500 probably for UWS or UES (east of 2nd ave).. but for midtown east, I'm not so sure especially for a 1 BR with views
it's a 4th floor walkup with no amenities.. 550sqft! that's worth $1500.
I hate brokers
I have a studio in the upper east side thet I am considering renting. It is a little over 600 square feet and hs nice views with 10 ft ceiling. Apt also has 24 hour doorman and 24 hour concierge with fitness center and swimming pool. It is in excellent conditon with renovated nice size kitchen and bathroom. Can anyone me me an estimate of what I can get to rent it for? Apt is between 1st and second ave between 83rd and 85th street.
to #17. Please show me ANY true 1 BR's walkup in midtown east for 1,500 no broker fee... any links to ads, anything. I tried and cannot find any.....
HAS JOHN LOWERED THE PRICE? i would rent it for $1,500.
#19 does that mean your studio is on 84th street? Why are you being so secretive as to where you live??? No one is coming after you.
That place is crazy small! I'm paying $2175 for a studio in a full service building with a large kitchen and large bathroom in Midtown East. My studio is soo much larger than that, that place is like a walkin closet!
#23 did you use a specific broker...you have a studio that i'm looking for. help
