I live nearby, they don't even have one floor up. Given that there doesn't seem to be any work done thus far on the building, I wonder if they're reconsidering the whole project.

I wonder this too, and why they continue to spend an enormous amount on marketing. On the one hand, they're very aggressive (marketing/advertising), yet their increases in price make it seem like they don't really want to sell any units. Maybe they're just hoping to wait it out.. in the mean time seems like a big waste of advertising money.

I'm guessing that the developer will need to pay back any loans taken to get the project started. Time is money, and who knows when prices will rebound. It could be many years before we hit prices close to what they're asking for.
