I wonder if Obama will re-nominate Bernanke next year. At his press conference the other day, he said Bernanke was doing a good job, but then again Bernanke is a Bush appointee and keeping him on board might anger the Democratic base.

bottom line is that the bac deal was bad and they knew it. question is, how far do they wanna dig.

didn't Obama call up the inspector general on his cell phone the other day and essentially tell him he was fired? I don't get why the Fox News conservatives are making a big deal about it, especially consideirng Bush fired 8 U.S. Attorneys for not prosecuting enough Democrats.

If congress continues to press (as though they had no hand whatsoever in the crisis) -- Bernanke may resign... Like Liddy (AIG).

My own personal opinion is 1/3 chance they put Larry Summers in. Many are speculating this....

The Republicans smell blood. But -- here’s where my conspiracy theory comes in – so does Larry Summers. Remember the White Paper that Obama just released? Doesn’t it give sweeping powers to the Federal Reserve? Didn’t Summers have a strong hand in crafting this white paper? And doesn’t Larry Summers know his name has been bandied about as a replacement for Bernanke? You see where this is going, right?
