Rental at 404 East 79th Street

Discussion about 404 East 79th Street #5D
can anyone tell me anything about this building or the management. I was looking at it with interest however there seems to be a glut of apartments that cannot rent or sell and I am concerned that there is a problem that is not surface evident

i believe that is The Hampton House. I have looked at two apartments in that building in the last few weeks - I live across the street - and they were both kinda shitty (although I have seen worse). The lobby is pretty bad, but the building does have a gym and a pool, though. Otherwise I don't know if there are any underlying bad things you should know about.
