What should I offer on lease renewal?

I live on 2nd av & 86; have a high floor 430 sq ft studio with a 60 sq ft balcony; Was all brand new renovated when moved in. Lease ends in Sept. Current rent is $2,400/mo; any thoughts on what I should offer? Also, does anyone know anything about Schneider & Schneider? (They own and manage the building.)

2400 seems extremely high. I'd think $1700-ish would be appropriate.
