Just curious if anyone here has read any of his work and, if so, what your opinions are.

Well, guessing this is a no. While I am certainly a more negative person around here, I would recommend anyone that enjoys economics check out a couple of his books; mainly "The Great Boom Ahead" and "The Great Depression Ahead."

His main premises are all based on demographics, which are just about as infallible as they come when it comes to predicting a lot of things. "The Great Boom Ahead" was written in 1992 and, besides for being off in a few things (mainly # predictions for Dow levels), he was pretty spot on for a lot of his calls about what would happen from 1992 until now.

He also covers quite a bit on real estate, New York City, and what we might have in store for the next few years.

I get nothing if you read it, so don't think I'm trying to hawk it for any personal reasons. I'm just finishing up "The Great Depression Ahead" and was looking to bounce some stuff off anyone else that might know his work.
