Discussion about
see, you guys jinxed it. All that talk about the new bull market... and we're now down like 700-800. If we go under 8k, I'm going to start swinging...

Momentum's changing before earnings. Guessing people aren't feeling too confident they'll be good.

So much for 893 being tentative support on the S&P...

Closing 7 points above the day's lows sure isn't inspiring. AA kicks off the earnings season tomorrow, right?

Yup, here come the numbers.

In the end, ups and downs aren't that worrisome to me... its the fact that after the big runup, we're still at 97-98 prices.

10022, maybe that's because as of 2008ish we were still at (absolute) 1999 employment (total employed) levels? when you need about 100k growth in employment monthly to keep up? and not counting the massive increase in people who are marginally employeed. without money people can't buy, unless of course banks let them.

yes, who cares about stock and employment.

You just have to buy RE at no money down and make billions!

People who care already saw the stock ticker on the news or on the internet.

But thanks anyway.

On the read thing, yeah, not 100% sure there.

Get updates on the stock market... well, considering your record with the RE market... yeah, not so sure there either.

lol.

wonderboy, this is a discussion board, people are free to discuss whatever they want, and the economy does have some impact on the real estate market, so nyc10022 is well within reason. I'm not a fan of people just posting link after link to articles in major publications, but that's not what's going on here at all. Stock market is quickly retracing much of its recent gains, not a great way to build momentum.

But what was the point of this thread? There was no analysis just a repeat the market numbers. We all know where the stock market stands since the DOW tickers are everywhere.

Links after links of economic articles are actually more informative than repeating the numbers that are already plastered on our daily news sources.

Why this NOISE? I go to marketwatch for stocks and street easy for realestate. Not the other way. And Shakespeare.com for Hamlet.

Stock market has NOTHING to do with real estate, sorry. But wonderboy is being funny to bring this up and show you how the winds change so quickly that in just one week nyc10022's whole point is disproven. Also to show how stupid it is to be posting stock market news on street easy when it is on the Wall Street Journal. Also, to the uneducated dirty jackass who said "Really? Shakespeare.com? You are classy," I don't get people like you.
