Looking for upstate (< 3 hours drive) campsite or cottage (with firepit)

Hi: My kids are all of a sudden keen to roast marshmallows over a fire. Are there campsites with good parking (not looking to hike) that allow fires within a 3 hour drive of UWS? Or towns with cottage/cabin rentals (with firepits)?

I always enjoyed Ward Pound Ridge Reservation as a kid...
