http://www.streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/436446-coop-212-east-88th-street-yorkville-new-york gotta be something wrong with it right?
High walk up, studio sized. This would have been $85k in 1999. Its about time.
It says its apartmnet 1b so that means ground floor right? even if its high up and small, its perfect for just one person. I remeber mu old roomate in 1998 bot an alcove studio for like 90k. Think we can get back to there ?
Yes, ground floor. Above the garbage cans. Note the security gate on the window. In a tenement building like this, on a 25' lot, the upper floors have two ~12'-wide apartments across the front. Since it's the ground floor, two ~10' with the entrance between.
Well, for one, it's gonna be dark with only two tiny windows, especially on such a low floor. Also, it's a railroad, which will likely make it seem even more claustrophobic (long and skinny isn't exactly a plus in apartment layouts).
But yes, it is interesting from a pricing standpoint--wouldn't have found similar during the peak.
seems like a great starter to me. Have to go see it though. might be able to pick it off for 175. dman why did i juts sign a lease. lol
