Discussion about
Ansonia - the 10-room combo on 13th floor, asking 6mish (similar potential combo on the 7th flr 5mish). The original 10-room floorplan has the kitchen in the S.W. corner of the apt, and the dining room immediately adjacent. I try to make it to every 3br OH in the Ansonia, possibly my favorite bldg on the UWS. Location is obviously B-, but there is tremendous romance associated with this building... [more]

On pshark, the square footage of the combined apts is approx. 2300sqft. But in a new condo development, this same apt would probably be billed as a 3500sqft+ apt.

nyc 10023 I love Ansonia and I think location is A b/c of easy transport, Fairway, parks. Why would you give it B-? Ansonia apartments also have thick walls and floors. Huge plus in my book. I think this particular apt combo is significantly overpriced if compared to lets say 300 west end.

B-, it's on a busy stretch of Broadway - you want proximity to services w/o being right on top of them.
A+ would be a building with similar arch. provenance on CPW or RSD.

The Ansonia has a few things going for it - low taxes (you're locked in), architecture (trumps 300WE anytime), history.
