SteveF, it doesn't matter how big Goldman's bonuses get, you and the other waiters are not getting any.

Dude, why do you keep calling for noah? Every time you do, he points out you're a moron, and then you say he has no credibility.

Its like you are asking for your mommy to save you (but then she b*tch-slaps you).

record amount of money gonna be paid out, did you hear it? r-e-c-o-r-d amounts.

I'll use an oldie but a greatie...."jjun and nyc100222, make sure you get that rent paid on time." Your landlord likes to get the mortgage paid before the 12th of the month so the principal gets recorded, the loan balance gets lower and his equity goes higher and higher and higher all off your money...now that's funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting comments... considering the sources. SteveF, the eternal optimist (which during March was appreciated as we were all feeling beaten down), and nyc10022, the voice of bearish reason.

I read the language ("Morgan Stanley setting aside 74% of 2nd quarter revenue for bonuses...")as a red herring. When things worsen into the fall(imho), this is the justification of year-end bonuses and a form of incentive pay to stay through the punches...

We shall see where things fall out... Morgaqn Stanley just recommended that their investors sell into this rally... indicating a drop to come...

The other thread noted that MS bonus accrual was 14% down off last year (the bad year).

Why thank you, mf...

SteveF, you really need to learn math. The landlord lost 10x my rent payment in equity, him getting my check 'aint gonna stop the bleeding.

actually I've been hearing that our landlord is losing money this year, but couldn't help but lower the rents below breakeven point due to high vacancies. Rather have negative cash flow each month than lose $3000 in rents each month per unit... somthing like that I guess.

I lost 35% of my net worth in stocks last year, but I would have lost 100% of my net worth if I bought last year/few years ago. I'm good with paying my rent right now.

I'm been very comfortable with the landlord subsidizing me for the last few years.

my rent is a mere pittance compared to what I would have clean lost in equity had I not sold my condo for 1700 psf in 8/07--and it's kind of a pittance anyway, frankly
