Mortgage on 5 Unit building

Can you get a mortgage on a five unit brownstone in Brooklyn Heights? I know earlier in the year getting such a mortgage was creating serious problems and was virtually impossible.

You can but there are certain parameters that must be met. For instance you must have a loan amount within "conforming limits" and the lender you choose cannot have too much exposure within the complex

BrooklynHeights- are you looking to buy the entire building? or one unit in a 5 unit building?
