I rarely agree with nyc10013's views on tribeca (I see it as a family oriented place whereas he appears to see it as a singles place - or wishes it was - so we see pros and cons v differently) but he nailed it with this one:

There were 2 apts for rent at 174 2nd and the PH, I looked at both. In their defense whatever price you ask for it will be beat down in this market. We all know the the asking price is not solid these days.

I have been lied too, given accepted offers that were then rescinded when a higher bid came in, sent fake floor plans that aggregate the size of the apartment by 50%. These guys are good the only straight shooters I have met so far. if 10013 wants to make a deal then make an offer at the price he thinks is fair.
