Ask LICC - it must have been him, he's been absent for awhile.
it's carolst, and what he/she did to a doubting client is best left unwritten.
lol everyone blames the person they don't like
blaming, for what?
i was just making a little joke, lousy.
ok, I admit it. It was me. I was arrested for selling kidneys on the black market.
What misdemeanors result in a year in jail?
A misdemeanor is a crime that results in a prison term of 1 year or less. A felony is anything over a year.
oh, and just to let everyone know, I'm holding a special: buy 1 kidney and get 1 free! Meet me in Hoboken by the big synagogue tonight at 2 AM and we can talk business.
A misdemeanor MAY result in up to a year in jail. They rarely actually result in the maximum sentence in NYC. In order to get a full year, you would likely have to do one of 3 things: (1) pleaded down to a misdemeanor from a felony, or (2) have a prior record, or (3) been given a plea deal where you got probation or had to do some type of program or community service which you failed to do and now you are getting the maximum jail time as a result of violating the conditions of your plea.
Regardless of the reason for going to jail, all contracts into which you entered remain enforceable including leases, car loans, work obligations, etc. No one gives a hoot you will be in jail and fulfilling your obligations will thus be difficult if not impossible. Probably a good idea to ask your attorney for advice on these matters or referrals to attorneys who can help you on them.
