Discussion about
Hi... can someone who has bamboo floors comment on how they like it? Does it really change colors due to sunlight? Is it relatively carefree? Thanks

I have had them for 15 months. Yes they fade in the sunlight (note we get a fair amount of sun through a bunch of south facing windows). We have a rug and you can definitely see the color difference bw the exposed and covered wood. They also seem to scratch kind of easily but I don't have a lot of experience with wood floors so I can't compare. They look nice though and no special maintenance that I'm aware of.

Hi... thanks for sharing! Was the bamboo less expensive than other wood you may have considered?

#2 here, the bamboo was less expensive then some (we almost went with 5 inch wide something or other that was very expensive) but the same or maybe even more than others. Expense wasn't really the reason. We liked the look and my wife liked the idea that its supposed to be a good choice environmentally. I wouldn't say we regret it but again can't compare it to anything.
