Staples -- small business trouble

Wow -- I just saw a staples sales report (a measure of small business) on Bloomberg. Sales way down (35%+) YOY -- huge decline since march. Oddly, stock up in same time frame. Short the retail stocks which have rallied?

huge disconnect between stock price trend and sales numbers...staples ceo said survey says 45% of small businesses worried about failing. he said he does not expect spending to return to precrash levels.

this is certainly not the only stock with this type of complete disconnect. look at AIG -- the poster child of "huh?"
