Discussion about
a beauty for those that don't loathe NJ http://therealdeal.com/newyork/articles/16-months-and-a-3m-price-cut-later-nj-mansion-hits-auction-block-froh-heim "There is no starting bid price, but there will be a $100,000 deposit required to place a bid. " "The 11-acre Froh Heim property -- which has a swimming pool and fountain -- was first listed for $8.9 million in April 2008 and had its asking price slashed to $6 million a year later. In addition to the main residence, the land includes a stable, barn, two caretaker apartments and a “gentleman’s retreat,” complete with wine cellar."
My gut tells me this was a failed flip. Anyone know what they paid for it and when?
It's a beautiful property but doesn't look like the northeast to me; looks more So. California or Florida, no?
It was owned by Abe Froh Heim, the sausage king of Paramus.

exactly, it features Mediterranean aspirations
The "no starting bid" is a bunch of BS. Of course there is a starting bid... it's called the reserve price! Do you really think they will sell to the highest bidder if they only bid $500,000?
"The "no starting bid" is a bunch of BS."
so true, and if it says "no reservation price" it means somebody representing the lender will win the bid if the implicit reservation price is not met.
this is not a foreclosure auction so nobody is going to be representing the lender.
