Maxwell Place Condos Spotlight

The last major development to be built in Hoboken in recent time is Maxwell Place. Maxwell Place was constructed on the site of the old Maxwell House Coffee Factory located at 1125 Hudson St. The Factory was built in 1938 and was at the time the largest coffee factory in the world. The last major development to be built in Hoboken in recent time is Maxwell Place. Maxwell Place was constructed on the site of the old Maxwell House Coffee Factory located at 1125 Hudson St. The Factory was built in 1938 and was at the time the largest coffee factory in the world. The large Maxwell House sign was clearly visible from New York City and the smell of coffee was prominent in Hoboken. The factory remained open until 1992. It also is believed that the very first baseball game took place on this site in the 1800’s.
