Discussion about
Had a minor issue with my shower (faucet had come off, no leaking). Building handyman responded and pulled pipe out of wall, causing major flooding--10 floors of a large building were affected, fire dept had to shut off water. the building had no unit or floor level water shut off. fire dept wrote up building for several violations. a plumber responded after several hours had passed, building super was on vacation. this is a large building run by a large management co. what are my rights as a tenant? aside from other damange, my flooring needs to be replaced and i'm concerned about mold. what are my chances of being moved to another unit in building? i plan to talk to a lawyer, do i have a case? as far as i know, the handyman is not a licensed plumber. thanks
