Discussion about
Just purchased a condo at Kips Bay Towers....thinking of renting it out for about $2,600 -- 725sqft, 1br, stainless steel appliances. What's the best way of going about this? Do I just call up a broker? Who? Do I try to list it myself? What do you think about the price. Any help appreciated! Thanks.

The price is a bit high. $2,000/month is more appropriate.

Just put an ad in Craigslist. And include LOTS of pictures -- as well as a floor plan -- otherwise no one will bother even looking.

I agree $2,600 is too high. Not sure you have to go all the way down to $2,000 unless you need a tenant right away. There's another listing at $2,400 for an 800-sf apartment in the same building, so for starters you should undercut that.

Not sure about the price. Studios are renting for that amount. Anyway, craigslist is the best bet?
