Does anyone have kids in PS 199? What do you think about the school? How does it compare to PS 87?

PS 199: 94th percentile, 66% white, 7% "poor"
PS 87: 88th percentile, 54% white, 15% "poor"

PS87 demographics are rapidly changing. Also, it has special needs classes (which takes unzoned kids) so demographics are skewed by that as well.

What are you looking for in terms of an education for your kid/s? Are you looking to stay in NYC until 12th grade?
