Discussion about
I am new to NY City. I am looking into buying a co-op in Murray Hill, totally remodeled at 745K for 750 sq ft, 1 br, 1 bath. Is this reasonable price?

It depends on the location, amenities and common charges. It's near the top of the range, but it may be worth it if the views and light are amazing, in a great, well-managed building and very low maintenance. Have you done a search to check what's available at that price?

1 bed coops are in the mid to high 500s on park avenue.....746k is more in line with condo pricing not coop pricing...

for a Murray Hill Coop it sounds on the expensive side to me, but depends on building services, view, renovation block etc... what are the maintenance fees?

It's $1,156 common charges and $152 capital assessment. Actually, it's near 35th street.

Unless there's something incredibly special that cannot be replicated, it seems very expensive. There are literally dozens of 1br in that area, and they seem to be selling in the 600's. What makes this place special?

Nothing sprecial, other than the individual apartment has been extensively remodeled. Probably overdone for the complex.

There are 1 beds in full service buildings in Murray Hill with much lower ppsf, although maybe not as extensively renovated--
