The research is likely to be a further blow to the reputation of a battered industry, which has faced increasing demands for transparency from investors in the wake of the credit crisis.
but you lie all the time.
9 out of 10 brokers lie. you can catch about 5 out of 10 immediately with the misrepresentation of square footage on their websites.
Perhaps the invisible hand doesn't keep people honest, is because nobody sees it.
what about used cars salemen, 98%?
The thing about laws is they don't have to catch 100% of the crooks to be effective. If the dishonest " used car salesmen" thought there was just a reasonable chance of getting caught, they would think twice...
LIE was a great movie.
Am I the only one who read that as "One in five hedge fund managers Long Island Expressway?"
No, that's what the movie is about. Actually, the movie title might be "L.I.E." ... but still.
I would have put the number much higher. Only 1 in 5? Restores some of my faith in my fellow man.
