Fantastic neighborhood, know nothing about the building, difficult to judge apt. w/o floor plan. Looks like a decent deal.

Well, they're not being too greedy - sold for $1,388,000 in 2005.

Wow - shame...

Would still like to see a FP. Could be a nice space for a family of 3 or 4.

There's a floorplan at the prudential website..you have to go to the "Virtual Tour" to see it: http://www.prudentialelliman.com/listings.ASpx?listingid=1168713&utm_source=Streeteasy&utm_campaign=corporate&utm_medium=listings

IIRC, A and B are similar, so the floorplan for #8A should give you an idea of the space. The building abuts a public middle school, but I don't think the "B" line has any windows facing in that direction.

I remember looking at a unit there in '05 (probably this unit) and was surprised at the price point compared to other C6s. I don't know what the gotcha is, other than some folks probably don't want to live next to IS44. Now that IS44 houses Anderson and is getting "gentrified", I don't know that it's an issue.

The C6 layout is the classic long-skinny one which isn't the best, but represents the majority of C6 layouts.

and since part of it is south facing to brownstones, you'll likely get very good light, even on the 5th floor.

thanks for your responses...maybe price reflects that it isn't in mint condition...
