What's interesting is that Congress has held a number of hearings about the banks, risk they took, tax payer bailout and how to fix and prevent this. Same is truefor the mortgage underwriting failures in the public and private domain. Much of the advice has been sound. Yet Congress and the President in the end ignores it. We keep hearing about the lobbyists who present what must be alternate views doing so behind closed doors and ultimately sway both parties to maintain the status quo....
