Discussion about
Anybody have thoughts/info on this new development? My wife and I have seen it and like it. Its on a busy block and diagonally faces one exit of the 59th street bridge. However, the midtown east location and layout work very well for us and the building and aptmt have nice amenities. The wirednewyork guys also approve of architecture by the firm Arquitectonica: http://www.wirednewyork.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4883&page=87. The broker says they had a leak and aren't pushing sales now until model aptmt is redone.
I looked at this. If you don't mind location and like layout than it seems fine. I also noticed the leak. Not sure what to say about that. I Think they should have put master suite in the back and made it a 2 bedrm, but that's just my personal preference.
nice units but not too crazy about the hallway to each unit having 2 stairwell doors
The building very much has a loft feel to it with one unit per floor and the elevator opening inside the unit. Our loft in tribeca also had two internal stairwell doors which I believe is fairly common in lofts.
I think it's a very interesting building and priced right, especially when you look at compatibles for comparable buildings. I found that below 2nd Ave the street is actually not that busy and quite nice. I also agree with the previous comment on making the back room a master suite. I just looked at this recently and thought it was a very unique space, especially when you consider the Sutton Place location.

I not sure how many are left, but I know the broker said they just started showing the building again this week and have 4 going into contract this week.
Seems fairly priced
