They're not. buildings like The Edge are paying them to show up then calling the press all in a feeble attempt to gain come cache or sales.

E.g., Bjork is moving to Brooklyn Heights. Lots of people choose Brooklyn over Manhattan even if they can afford either place. It's a different vibe. I think some of the Brooklyn brownstone neighborhoods are the most gorgeous in the city.

I can afford either place, and I have never been to the Edge, but I have been to the edge! See all celebrities don't see it that way.

If you see a celebrity, just ignore it. Look the other way. Eventually it will go away.

I know it's disturbing to see them, but celebrities are basically manageable and don't have to lower the quality of your life.

Because the definition of "celebrity" has expanded about the same amount as the claimed boundaries of good neighborhoods have.

I heard Falcon Heene is buying in the Edge.

Is the Edge that exciting institutional-to-condo redevelopment with great skyline views on Riker's Island?

Because Manhattan is expensive, and fame, believe it or not, does not always come with money. My richest clients have not been the people who are in TV shows you might watch every week, they're people who started or inherited family businesses. Being a guy who found a hole in Google is worth way more than being in the gossip column of New York magazine.
