Discussion about
Has anyone lived in the Ansonia? Is the street noise tolerable? What about the noise from fairway?

The Ansonia has a very colorful history, but it's certainly a beautiful building.

Fairway has lots of trucks unloading on 74th St. on Saturday mornings, and I suppose other times, but doesn't seem particularly noisy.

The walls are thick, and all the windows are double, so street noise shouldn't be a problem.

I think amenities are minimal - you're paying for the prewar details and building history (worth it to me, BTW).

Yes, paying for the upkeep of exterior building details. Adds to common charges.
