work/live space

Discussion about
we are a family with young kids. wondering if living in a work/live building is ideal. anyone with experience in such a space? i am concerned about the "commercial traffic"; does it affect one's lifestyle? do you face any other issues? (p.s. we dont work from home but just find work/live spaces typically are bigger and cheaper). thanks.
