Isn't this the argument that if the are "too big to fail" they are also "too big to exist"? (ergo, break them up, sharpen up regulation)

exactly the topic of a piece I worked on for tomorrow...but not this part. why is he saying banks should have lent more?

to who? a deteriorating credit quality US consumer that is already ridden with debt in a rising unemployment environment? makes no sense.

No. We should have allowed the failing banks to die. We should also dismantle the Federal Reserve once and for all, so that we can give free market economics a real chance to succeed.
