2nd Floor Apt on busy block

If the noise doesn't bother you, it's very convenient when the elevator goes out. You'll not only have traffic but individual conversations of people going by, as well as boom-boom car stereos vibrating through your place? Is there a bus stop? Does the Fresh Direct truck come by? They are incredibly noisy because of the refrigeration motor. Go by there when the garbage gets collected before you move there.

If you have found the perfect noise-blocking shades/curtains, I'd be very interested. I'm on the 6th floor and traffic bothers me.

what rooms face the street? if your bedroom does, that could be really annoying
