How much should I expect to pay for a 1,300sqft rental apt in midtown?

Hey guys- My lease is up in February, and I am going to start searching now for my next place. Currently in a 1325sq ft. 1bed in LIC for $2800/month. Would like to be in a 1300-1400 2bed in Midtown East. 14th street-34th street, anywhere from the east river to 3rd ave. Prefer doorman and gym, but not necessary. Prefer something newer/newish. What can I expect to pay for something meeting the above criteria? If the criteria are too vague, please let me know how I can make them more specific. Thanks! -Mike

Thanks for the link, Steve. Seems like very few of the listings are showing square footage, even when I click through to the detail pages. Let me see what I can find. Thanks again.

MP - The area you're specifying (14-th-34th) is more Kips Bay-Gramercy-Murray Hill), not Midtown East - just to make sure you set your search parameters for the right area.
