I guess it depends what you like to eat, but I would say flushing or jackson heights have the most diverse restaurants in the city. Anthony Bourdain's show No Reservations had an excellent episode a bit back about outer borough restaurants. Great choices. The golden mall (41-28 Main street) in Flushing has some of the best asian food I've ever tasted, and I've been to asia several times.
