no i am sick and tired of your useless postings that add nothing and say nothing and state the obvious. so SE sent out this email because they were paid either directly or indirectly? really? do you think that anyone doesn't get that? is that interesting? or useless?

This columbiacounty person is quite aggressive in his comments for some strange reason. I just see that I can block him. So bye bye CC. Sorry your comments will not be read by me anymore.

I blocked CC a while ago, when it seemed all he could do was post "liar" 50 times per day.

cc -If it's so obvious then why the hell are you asking "what is the deal with this?"

modern, if you have cc on ignore the threads that he starts won't show up on your screen. including this one.

although for some reason my ignore people keep popping out of ignore recently. not that i have many, but it's best if they remain in ignore status.

it is getting very buggy.

hotproperty, i do find it interesting. obviously SE has to survive, but their reason for being has always been transparency in real estate, in all ways. their teaming with major developers for an event (complete, i might add, with advertising dumped into my personal e-mail because i'm a subscriber)makes one wonder how committed they are to their model. if it's a sign that the developers are willing to play ball in a very different manner that's one thing. but i'd wonder how happy i'd be if SE became another NYT's clone.

notaboutready, I agree with you. You always provide a thoughtful analysis, but in general, way too many others on here feel obligated to post EVERY vacant thought that pops into their head, and then berate others for doing the same. I wish they would stop bickering.

I just pushed ignore again, and this thread was gone, and after a refresh it is back again.

hotproperty, very funny. i've been seriously considering changing my handle to notfngready.

i bicker too, and sometimes go way over the top. it's tough, because sometimes there's just WAY too much history. so take the good, and try to ignore what to you is the bad. and if you ever need a comps analysis done, and you convince me that i like you, "irregardless" of any political beliefs, i'm happy to help.

modern, i almost jumped out of my g-d seat when i saw a spunky thread today. not that i wouldn't welcome a reappearance. he went on ignore years ago, but i'd sneak a peak now and again when i was feeling brave and respond.

I don't see what the big deal is with Streeteasy sending an email out about this. Most people are insiders because they're buyers or sellers, so this is an event that is likely of interest. It's not like it's titled: "What is Wrong With you Bitter Renters: Why There's No Such Thing as Overpriced Real Estate." You'd have a case then. Not much sense in getting so jaded that we start accusing Streeteasy of being "confused."

do you have any interest in hearing the heads of the big broker houses tell you about future values of apts in nyc? do you think that they have any information that could help you in any way? I don't.

"do you think that they have any information that could help you in any way? I don't."

That's an irrational, extreme statement. Do I think they have all the answers and are completely unbiased? No. Do I think they have any information that could help in any way? Absolutely. Regardless, that's not even the point here - if you're so convinced you know everything you need to know, why do you even care so much that this is going on?

It's "irregardless", dummy. Do you think they'll maybe teach that at the event? I hope so, in the "How to Streeteasy Like a Local" forum.
